Eco Commercial Cleaning on the Central Coast

From the office precincts around Gosford and Erina to medical suites, childcare centres and holiday accommodation stretching along the coast, the Central Coast runs on a broad mix of businesses. We clean them with methods that leave no added synthetic chemicals and no hazardous residue — protecting the people who work in your building, the people who visit it, and the cleaners doing the work. Same result as conventional cleaning, without the chemical load.

The Central Coast business mix

The Central Coast is not a single market. It spans commercial office space around Gosford and the Erina corridor, a growing cluster of medical and allied-health precincts, childcare and early-learning centres serving a large commuter population, aged-care and disability facilities, retail and hospitality venues, and a seasonal wave of short-stay and holiday accommodation. Add the coastal climate — persistent humidity and the mould pressure that comes with it — and you have buildings that need disciplined, consistent cleaning rather than a heavy-handed splash of harsh product.

Our approach suits that reality. We use electrolysed water (hypochlorous acid made on site from water and a trace of salt, which reverts to salt water), stabilised aqueous ozone (which reverts to oxygen and water), and dry steam for low-moisture thermal decontamination. Colour-coded microfibre and disciplined dwell times do the rest. Where a task is disinfection-critical, we retain TGA-listed disinfectants — we do not pretend otherwise.

Which sites benefit most

Every workplace benefits from lower chemical exposure, but some sites gain more than others.

  • Offices and corporate tenancies — occupants spend long hours in sealed, air-conditioned space. Lower-VOC cleaning supports indoor air quality and rating credits. See office cleaning.
  • Childcare and early learning — small children crawl, touch and mouth surfaces. Reducing residue matters here more than almost anywhere. See childcare cleaning.
  • Medical and allied health — infection control is non-negotiable, and so is protecting sensitive patients and staff from unnecessary chemical exposure. See medical cleaning.
  • Aged care, hospitality and accommodation — vulnerable occupants, high turnover and humidity-driven mould pressure all reward a consistent low-tox method.

The health and WHS case

Cleaning is not a low-risk occupation. The ECRHS study by Svanes and colleagues (2018) found lung-function decline in regular cleaners comparable to around 20 pack-years of smoking. The AIHW attributes between 9 and 15 per cent of adult-onset asthma to occupational exposure, and names cleaning as a high-risk occupation. Deloitte Access Economics puts the cost of asthma to Australian employers at $526.7 million a year.

The regulatory direction is clear too. From 1 December 2026, enforceable Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) replace the current WES across roughly 700 reviewed chemicals. Under the WHS hierarchy of controls, elimination sits at the top — removing a hazard beats managing it with ventilation or PPE. Switching to methods with no added synthetic chemicals is elimination in practice, not a workaround. For Central Coast operators, that means being ahead of the change rather than scrambling after it.

Ratings and building performance

If your building is chasing or holding a rating, the cleaning cupboard is part of the score. GECA-certified products are deemed-to-satisfy for the Green Star Green Cleaning credit. WELL's Cleaning Products and Protocol feature targets hazardous-chemical reduction. NABERS Indoor Environment tests for VOCs and formaldehyde — the exact emissions that conventional cleaning chemistry tends to raise. Our electrolysed-water system is GECA-certified and TGA-listed, so it supports these frameworks without a separate procurement exercise. You can review the full range of services and how each maps to your obligations.

What it costs

Honest answer: on standard scopes, we price at parity with conventional cleaning. There is no eco premium for a normal office or retail clean. On health-critical or rating-critical sites — where the method, documentation and product certification genuinely add work — you may see a 10 to 15 per cent difference. The walkthrough and quote are free, so you will know before you commit.

Why the method matters here

The Central Coast climate does most of the arguing for us. Humidity feeds mould, and mould tempts people toward stronger, harsher products used more often — which raises the exposure risk for staff and occupants alike. Dry steam and controlled dwell times let us manage moisture-driven problems without loading the building with residue. It is a better answer to a local problem, not a compromise. Frequently asked questions

Is eco commercial cleaning really as effective as conventional cleaning?

Yes. Electrolysed water and aqueous ozone are proven cleaning and sanitising agents, and dry steam handles thermal decontamination without residue. For disinfection-critical tasks we retain TGA-listed disinfectants, so nothing is compromised on outcome.

Do you service the whole Central Coast?

We operate across the Central Coast through our accredited partner network, covering the Gosford and Erina commercial corridors, medical precincts, childcare centres and accommodation sites along the coast.

Will switching cost more than my current cleaner?

On standard scopes we price at parity with conventional cleaning. Only health-critical or rating-critical sites attract a 10 to 15 per cent difference, and the walkthrough and quote are always free.

Can this help with the humidity and mould pressure on the coast?

Yes. Dry steam and disciplined dwell times let us manage moisture-driven issues with low added moisture and no hazardous residue, rather than relying on harsher chemistry used more often.

How does this help with the new Workplace Exposure Limits?

From 1 December 2026, enforceable WELs replace the current WES across around 700 chemicals. Using methods with no added synthetic chemicals sits at the top of the WHS hierarchy of controls — elimination — which is the strongest way to meet the change.
