That means the residue left by a cleaning method is not an abstract concern — it is something small children make direct oral and skin contact with, hour after hour.

Conventional daycare cleaning often relies on quaternary ammonium sprays and fragranced multi-surface products. How our methods clean without the residue

Dry steam uses high-temperature, low-moisture vapour to lift soil and thermally decontaminate surfaces. It reaches into textured plastics, cot rails, high chairs and grout lines, and leaves surfaces dry quickly — which matters in rooms that cannot be closed off for long. Because it is water-based, there is no added synthetic chemical and no hazardous residue on toys or contact surfaces.

Electrolysed water (HOCl) is generated on site from water and a trace of salt. It is GECA-certified and TGA-listed, cleans effectively, and reverts to salt water. Stabilised aqueous ozone reverts to oxygen and water. Both let us sanitise broad surface areas — tables, shelving, mouthed toys after rotation — without leaving a fragranced or chemical film behind.

We pair these with colour-coded microfibre and disciplined dwell times, so nappy areas never share cloths with kitchen or play surfaces. Where a task is disinfection-critical, we use a TGA-listed disinfectant at the correct contact time — because ACECQA hygiene expectations and infection control come first. The discipline is knowing which task needs which method.
